How does it work?

Bluetooth mesh network
The components of a Casambi ecosystem form a mesh. Each component communicates with one or more other components via Bluetooth. With the Casambi application, the smartphone allows for system configuration and control. Once the setup is complete, the ecosystem can be controlled directly with dedicated switches or via simple push buttons. The system can include light and presence detectors.
The network can be shared with building users for simple smartphone control.

Features

Color
The user can change the color of the light from the application.
White Temperature
The user can easily modify the color temperature of the luminaire with the application.
Brightness
The control solution allows varying the intensity of artificial lighting when daylight is available to achieve maximum lighting quality and reduced energy consumption. Daylight sensors measure illuminance and transmit lux values to the network.
Presence
The Casambi lighting control system supports motion sensors, as well as information from overlapping motion sensors. Motion detectors can be used to achieve energy savings. Detector activation can be programmed as needed.

Calendar and time
With calendar and clock functions, scene and animation functions can be programmed at specific times (days/dates) as needed. Each module keeps time in memory. It is possible to easily manage circadian rhythms (simultaneous evolution of intensity and white temperature depending on the time of day).
Scenario
Different lighting scenarios can be created for different occasions. It is possible to control multiple luminaires in a single gesture to create the perfect ambiance for different needs.
Animations
Animations are dynamic scenes, where lighting can fade from one scene to another. Repetition, duration of each scene, and fade time between scenes can be adjusted.
Grouping
Grouped luminaires can be controlled simultaneously.

Galleries
Casambi's gallery feature makes control more intuitive. The user simply takes photos of a space and marks the position of the luminaires. The images then appear in the application's gallery, with the luminaires positioned. The user controls the desired luminaire by clicking on it.
Control hierarchy
The "control hierarchy" allows cooperation between manual lighting controls (the application, switches, and push buttons) and automated lighting controls (sensors and timers), allowing different types of overrides and modifying the lighting control solution. It adapts to all desired control logics.
Scalability
The Casambi system is suitable for different building sizes with the possibility of creating an unlimited number of networks. It is possible to evolve each network at any time.
