The interview

Could you briefly tell us about the project?

"This project is part of a larger project: Sciences Po's Campus 2022. Expanding with 3 new buildings and 3 large courtyards, this new Campus mainly consists of offices for researchers and meeting rooms, but also includes a 1,000 m² library and an entire area dedicated to Sciences Po's school of journalism."

What were CLAREO's strengths during the project?

"What caught our attention was first and foremost the attractive product prices, but also the well-managed logistics thanks to storage of the luminaires in their warehouses in the Île-de-France region and smooth releases throughout the project. We also received extensive support with lighting studies as almost all rooms were completed in DIALux evo, all while having only one or two dedicated contacts depending on the construction phase, which made it much simpler to handle when we had requests."

How would you describe your experience with the DIALux Unit?

"The Sciences Po research department being very demanding, it was complicated to find products that could meet all the required technical specifications. Nevertheless, thanks to CLAREO's DIALux Unit, we were able to find solutions since almost all the premises were designed in DIALux evo, therefore in 3D. We had real support on this aspect, and it was even one of the conditions for us to be able to place an order."

CLAREO LineLEDs with multiple configurations

Because the spaces to be illuminated were mostly decorative areas, the product appearance was very important for the project's architectural firms. As a result, CLAREO had to propose custom-made luminaires, including LineLEDs specially manufactured for Sciences Po.

Depending on the project areas, our teams played with the lengths of the products, their color temperatures, their RAL paint finishes, their dimming modes, and also their technical characteristics. All this with recessed, surface-mounted, and even suspended installations depending on the rooms to be illuminated. Thus, Sciences Po was able to benefit from multiple configurations thanks to CLAREO LineLEDs!
