Parmentier School Project

Could you briefly tell us about the project?

" Located in a small cobblestone street near the Puteaux Bridge, the "Le Casino" performance hall was built here in 1865 and was later transformed into a movie theater in the early 20th century. In 2016, the city hall bought the cinema to demolish it in order to expand the adjacent Parmentier kindergarten. The announcement of the demolition had sparked opposition, so the city hall assured that the building's facade would be preserved. The Parmentier school now has 6 classrooms, a large cafeteria, a documentation center, spaces for the leisure center, and a basement for technical areas. "

What were CLAREO's strengths during the project?

" I wanted to work with CLAREO again for several reasons. First, the technical support, follow-up, and responsiveness of my dedicated sales representative was highly appreciated and beneficial throughout the project. Additionally, we needed very diverse products, and CLAREO's wide range of products met our expectations, as did their significant reliability. "

What was the biggest challenge in this project?

" The facade dating from the 1800s: the Mayor required it to be preserved and reused. Thus, to respect the architecture, we had to propose an aesthetic and discreet lighting system. Moreover, since the facade had moldings and decorations, we had to analyze and conduct studies to see which products could be installed. After support from the sales team and the DIALux unit, we decided to backlight it using a StripLED embedded in an aluminum profile. "
